NEW APPRENTICE ENGINEER FOR MEIKO UK

    1 from  / 1

Josh will spend the next three years training, learning the skills of the profession mentored by Meiko’s senior engineers. In his first few weeks, he has already stripped down undercounter machines and worked on K-Tronic rack transport dishwashers under supervision. After this photo was taken, he went on to work overnight helping replace a gearbox on a major waste handling system for BP in Sunbury.

“Last year I completed two years of courses in Construction which included plumbing and electrical installation...I just like working with my hands,” says Josh.

“Apprenticeship is a great opportunity to build a career and Meiko is an excellent company to work for.”
Says Dave Kemp, Meiko Technical Services Director: “It’s always hard to recruit good engineers and we all know that there are huge business benefits to employing apprentices.

“Given the tough economic climate, it is more important than ever to invest in skills and I am proud that Josh wanted to work for Meiko.

“The best-trained engineers are those you train yourself. All Meiko UK engineers are directly employed and trained in-house on site, at our dedicated training facility or at Meiko’s manufacturing base in Germany.

“Our first time rates are the highest in the industry and consistently above 95 per cent. We are the market leader because we combine a solutions driven approach with the highest standards of training and support.”
