The Catering Insight Supplier of the Year: Service & Support Award honours the supplier best deemed by the industry to be setting the benchmark for after-sales service, support and warranty.
The Catering Insight awards are voted for by the UK’s catering equipment distributors and suppliers, reflecting the views of the entire industry.
“Meiko’s emphasis on technical support, underpinned by its unique 3- and 5-year ‘No-Bills’ guarantee and the appointment of personnel to drive machine specification, has given dealers added assurance that if a customer’s machine does need repairing or a part replacing, the manufacturer will take responsibility and ensure the process is painless,” said Catering Insight.
Collecting the award were Meiko UK’s Commercial Director Steve Cook and MD, Paul Anderson, pictured with Catering Insight Editor Clare Nichols and Editorial Director Andrew Seymour.
Paul Anderson said: “It’s an absolute honour to be recognised. We don’t go out to win awards or to be praised, we just do our job.
“But to be recognised by the people we service and support is absolutely fantastic.”
This tops an unprecedented year of awards for Meiko’s industry-leading Customer and Technical Service Support.
Just last month, CEDA, the Catering Equipment Distributors Association, named Meiko UK as the winner of its award for Outstanding Technical Support.
The winner is chosen by CEDA’s servicing and support specialist members who gathered this year for the 2017 UK Catering Industry Technical Conference.
“Meiko came out as the clear winner,” said Peter Kay, Technical Support Advisor to CEDA. “CEDA members were asked to vote for companies who they felt delivered outstanding technical support, including support for engineers in the field. Congratulations to all at Meiko and keep up the good work.”
Earlier in 2017 at full members conference, CEDA also voted Meiko UK the winner of its annual award for Outstanding Customer Service, the sixth time Meiko UK has won the award and the only supplier ever to have done so.
