The shortlist for the Footprint Awards 2020 is announced, revealing that Meiko UK's BioMaster has been shortlisted for the Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer Award 2020.
Meiko Green Solutions BioMaster, unlike many competitive food waste solutions, recycles all food waste including cooking oils and fats and even bones, creating a biomass product that is pumped to holding tanks for collection and conversion to biogas. Suitable for all types of kitchen, three BioMaster solutions include a slimline model.
The Footprint Awards remain the only initiative to honour the achievements of companies in sustainability and responsible business practice in the out of home sector and its supply chain.
Organised by Footprint, which runs media, research, consultancy, training and forums, the awards are judged by industry specialists and have become synonymous with best practice and dedication to sustainability. Now into its 10th year the Awards have seen yet another record number of entries evidencing the increased importance placed on sustainability within the corporate policy mix.
