Meiko UK is upgrading its Technical Services van fleet with a new livery and new Euro 6 compliant VW Transporters, the greenest vans VW currently offer.
Says Dave Kemp, Meiko UK TECHNICAL SERVICES DIRECTOR, ”The vans are packed full of exciting features such as state of the art communications systems, but from Technical Services point of view, the most important feature is that VW Transporter’s have the largest load compartment of their class. This has enabled us to install higher capacity racking systems which provides a more logical layout and a greater capacity for spare parts.
“To guarantee we continue to lead the industry in terms of first time fix, all Meiko Technical Service vehicles carry as a minimum the top 200 parts for front loading and hood machines and the top 50 parts for the larger rack and flight machines.”
Meiko UK has 42 directly employed service engineers and the first of the new vans will be seen in the West Country and London regions.
