The huge HOST international Milan-based trade show has revealed the winners of its 2021 Smart Label innovation awards.
Capping the list of winners was the Meiko Bottle Washing System which allows caterers to use their own bottles. The exhibition showcased all the Smart Label winners in a dedicated area within its exhibition halls.
Washing a maximum 640 per hour, (rack holds max 16 bottles), the Meiko system is currently the fastest and most hygienic undercounter bottle wash system on the market.
“Removing plastic bottles from bedrooms, conferences, meeting rooms and restaurants has to happen for the good of the planet,” says Meiko UK MD Paul Anderson. “But it does raise an issue for the caterer as to the alternatives!

Meiko’s Bottle Washing System takes bottles up to 114mm wide and up to 370mm tall. The system can be used on all Meiko M-iClean UM/UM+ machines from 2009 – M-iClean UM is loved by staff because it is quiet, provides a top-quality wash, has cool lighting, and is typically sold with reverse osmosis water treatment, which stops the need to hand polish.
